"Be Kind To One Another"

Emmy-award winning, loved by many, Ellen DeGeneres is one celebrity woman who has really shown what perseverance is about in life. She had a variety of jobs until she turned to stand-up comedy, making her money at small clubs and coffee shops before working all the way up to be the best. In the early 1980's she toured nationally and was named the funniest person in America, where she won many competitions which led to many other gigs.

She made television history when she personally revealed she is lesbian. Following after this statement she was criticized by many and bashed with hurtful words. This did not stop Ellen, in 2001 she launched a new series, The Ellen Show, unfortunately it got poor ratings and was canceled. In 2003 the show redeemed itself because it proved to be both a critical hit and a commercial success.

She won 15 Emmy Awards in its first three seasons on air becoming the first talk show in TV to win Outstanding Talk Show. Ellen has made a name for herself by hosting award shows, but most importantly she has helped her community drastically. She has been named Special Envoy for global AIDS awareness by Secretary of State Hilary Clinton who tapped the show on its on-going fight against AIDS. The Ellen DeGeneres Show will use is popularity to raise awareness of the disease and to give hope to people suffering from it.
“An AIDS-free generation would be one of the greatest gifts we could give to our collective future,” DeGeneres said on Twitter.
She has been truly an inspiration to many girls, by showing that if you be yourself everything else will fall into place for you. She has shown the world that being kind to one another will make you not only a better person, but change your way of thinking in good way.

Find out who you are and be that person. That's what your soul was put on this Earth to be. Find that truth, live that truth and everything else will come - Ellen DeGeneres
I hope that each of these posts has really inspired each lady to be themselves and work for what they want in life no matter the obstacles that come with doing so. #Queensforever
